Description Key Responsibilities + Monitor security alerts, logs, and events across SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoints, and cloud platforms. + Conduct initial triage, investigation, and escalation of potential security incidents. + Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and assist in remediation planning. + Support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and root cause analysis. + Maintain and update security policies, standards, and documentation. + Assist with threat hunting and identification of suspicious patterns or behaviors. + Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to ensure secure configurations and patch compliance. + Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends; recommend security improvements. + Participate in audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments. + Support security awareness training initiatives. Requirements Required Qualifications + 2-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or related IT fields. + Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar). + Familiarity with endpoint security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools. + Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing, switching). + Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware types, and threat actor techniques. + Ability to analyze logs and correlate events across multiple systems. + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications + Relevant certifications (Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC, SSCP, etc.). + Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) security monitoring. + Background in scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell). + Experience working in a SOC environment. + Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
